Ski Holiday to Whilstler / handy tips at travellerstv.com

On one of my trips last year to whistler i booked a package for a week. It was the first time I had gone there as i usually go to the smaller resorts that aren’t so crowded.

when I arrived at the lodge it was at whistler creek. At this point i thought i wasn’t far away from the main whistler village. It ended up being about a 10 km drive. while this isn’t really that far, if you have had a couple of beers and you have misplaced your wallet, you in for a bit of a walk back to your room.

for those that are used to places like perisher, its a blow out. It seems to take ages to get to the top. The great ting is that it that you can just cruise for as long as you like and it just keeps coming.

Main thing to remember while up on the mountain… if you take a wrong turn you could end up at whistler Creek instead of Whistler village.

Needless to say it was a great place and an amazing experience.

When it comes to powder, there isn’t much better then japan. Japan records the highest annual snow fall in the world.

the powder can get so deep that you really try hard not to fall. Not becasue it would hurt… but because it can take a lot of effort to get out of the chest high dry fluffy powder.

check out some of the ski resorts at travellerstv.com. Plenty more to come but it will give you an idea of what to expect when you get there.
